EL34 German N.O.S. Tube

EL34 N.O.S. 'SIEMENS' GERMAN TUBES! EL34/6CA7 'Siemens' N.O.S., circa 1987, specially selected and tested for the U.S. Government. These "National Made In Germany" branded military tubes are the same as found as original equipment in '80s Marshalls, Trainwreck, numerous good High End audio amps, etc. These tall, slim profile tubes have a very characteristic dimple on top of the glass envelope, black plastic base. Offering a smooth, refined Mullard-like sound, these nicely made German EL34s should be considered as a sonic upgrade over currently available East European and Chinese EL34s. Reliability is good if the max. 450V plate rating is respected. These tubes work very nicely in triode-connected and ULTRALINEAR hi-fi amps. This is the tube we usually recommend for most Marshalls (not plexis), Trainwreck, most hi-fi amps, etc. We operationally test each and every one of these tubes in an old Marshall 100 watt Super Lead amplifier. We match 'em at full operating voltage. NOTE: These tubes are referred to, somewhat generically by guitar slingers as "Siemens", since that is how zillion of 'em were branded, packaged and sold here during the '70s and '80s. Siemens did not actually manufacture these tubes. I was told by one of the most esteemed guitar amp manufacturers that these tubes were made in East Germany in a factory jointly owned by the then communist government and ITT corporation. This factory closed down abruptly at the end of the '80s when Germany become 'reunified'. We've seen these tubes with following brandings affixed; Telefunken, Siemens, Mullard, Brimar, Marshall, Dynaco, Precision, National, Groove Tubes (stock item in many Trainwrecks, including mine!), RAM LABS, Mazda, Edicron, ITT-Lorenz, RSD and others. No matter how they are branded, these tubes are all exactly the same in my experience so don't get hung up on the logos.
