Clarostat 388 Series 2.5 Meg Ohm Linear Taper Mini Pot

I measured this pot at various degrees of rotation and it behaves like a linear taper pot. Pot 'box' body constructed from blue plastic with stainless steel fittings measures .524" X .517" X .441 deep, threaded mounting bushing .256 long, shaft diameter .124", solid shaft length .510". Open loop solder terminals. If you can find compatible set screw knobs you could have lots of fun with these building compact guitar effects, onboard guitar electronics, tube amplifier circuits, etc. These are very high quality SEALED pots, much better than what you usually see in modern musical electronics. Clarostat pots were frequently used in military electronics, fancy test gear, scientific equipment, wherever high performance and reliability were the ticket. Made in Dover, New Hampshire USA, probably '80s vintage. Complete with mounting hardware.
