Black Gate and ELNA Capacitors
Who makes the best
electrolytic
capacitors? Although you'll sometimes
find wildly diverging opinions among tube audio D.I.Y. hobbyists about
their favorite parts choices, almost everyone who's tried the Black
Gates
agrees: if you must use electrolytic types
these are worth checking out. Superior construction techniques and
materials
(most notably, fine grained graphite particles in place of the usual
electroltyic
'paste') have been put to work in a range of capacitors characterized
by
lower impedance/E.S.R. (equivalent series resistance is lowered to
about
10% of most other electrolytics), lower noise, lower distortion,
greater
power bandwidth efficiency, and most importantly noticeably more
lifelike
musical reproduction. Tolerance 20%.
All of the Black Gates we currently
offer are improved, higher
quality
replacements for conventional polarized electroltyic capacitors. Proper
orientation is printed on the outside of each capacitor. Black Gates are no longer in production; get 'em while you still can.
