Angela/Jensen Aluminum Foil Paper In Oil Signal Capacitors
Back
by popular demand! Aluminum foil plates, oil impregnated paper
dielectric. One of the best sounding audio signal capacitors ever made;
smooth, natural and harmonically right. Superb performance in
guitar tone control circuits, tube guitar amplifiers, tube hi-fi gear
and tube studio equipment. Only the copper foil Jensens offer higher
fidelity. If you don't have the buget or space for Jensen copper foil
paper in oil capacitors the aluminum foil version is a fine choice.
Very compact size; these capacitors fit most guitar tone circuits
nicely. Tinned copper leads measure approx. 45mm. Leads are solder
sealed to eyelets in the end discs. Hermatically sealed aluminum tube
casing with outer plastic insulation jacket. The
capacitor element is insulated from the aluminum casing. Not polarized and non-directional.
Tone Cap Tips
In your guitar the Tone Cap rolls off the
highs. The higher the value the more highs are rolled off.

.015µf Great alternative to .022 in P-90 and humbucker equipped guitars. Woman tone!
.022µf The traditional value for P-90 and humbucker equipped guitars.
.047µf The traditional choice for Fender and other similarly equipped guitars with single coil pickups.
0.1µf
This value was used originally in old Fender guitars and basses but
most modern players feel that it rolls off the highs too much, a relic
from the days when guitar players had to 'double on bass'.
