'80s vintage USA made JAN Philips/Sylvania military grade N.O.S. tubes! Black phenolic base is stamped "6L6WGB". Fine choice for restoration and repair of tube guitar and hi-fi amps by Fender, Ampeg, Peavey, Altec, Marshall, Heathkit and many other good brands. Similar in operating conditions and sonics to the legendary Tung-Sol 5881 found in old Fender pre-CBS amps. If you're looking for good breakup and blues tone at low volume, these are the ticket. You should also consider these Philips tubes as a fine upgrade to the cheap, imported 6L6 tubes shipped as original equipment in many otherwise fine new amplifiers. We carefully age and burn-in these tube under 'real world' operating conditions, at full voltage. Each one is then audibly tested in a cranked Marshall 100 watt chassis. Finally, we match the tubes to exactly the same plate current/mA at full operating voltage (400VDC) into pairs and quads.
